June 2021 will mark 15 years since the launch of 4WardEverUK in 2006 by Tippa Naphtali the cousin of Mikey Powell, who was killed in the custody of West Midlands police, Birmingham, UK in September 2003.
The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund has unveiled some ambitious plans for the future. It is hoped that the new initiatives will be rolled out over the next 3 years.
Secure video calls will be introduced to prisons and young offender institutions across England and Wales (following a successful trial at HMP Berwyn) to maintain vital family contact for prisoners and young offenders during the coronavirus pandemic.
