4WardEverUK and Migrant Media have submitted a grant application to the Edge Fund for a project that would essentially be the provision of a sessional role for a National Organiser.

A sessional worker would identify and manage opportunities for up to 3 major pay-to-attend events each year which will help to raise awareness of deaths in state custody, galvanise collaboration and raise money for the National Family Fund.

The original outline paper is available here for your information.

We’ll keep you updated of progress
fingers crossed :-)

The National Memorial Family Fund website is LIVE!

Campaigning news collective, 4WardEverUK, launched the new website in April 2019 to raise both awareness and funds for an initiative inspired by Mikey Powell, who died in police custody on 7th September 2003.

Mikey’s cousin, Tippa Naphtali said; “The needs of affected families and children can often get lost in the equally important work of campaigning and lobbying of state institutions. We want to change that with a permanent national support fund that is set up specifically for their needs“.

Important Note: Applications will be opened to family campaigns when the Family Fund holds a maximum balance of between £5,000 and £6,500 at any given time.
